Modern Funeral Service

A traditional service without the formality.

Funerals are becoming more informal and requests are made to take the ‘fuss’ out of the occassion.  Our Modern Service removes the use of the hearse and a Funeral Director conducting the procession but instead the coffin is placed in the Crematorium’s chapel (or placed at the graveside for a burial) prior to your arrival.

The service can still be lead by a religious minister or funeral celebrant and we are on hand to help arrange floral tributes and orders of service.

Including necessary third party fees

This includes the expert advice and guidance of an experienced Funeral Director from the initial arrangements through to, and beyond, the day of the cremation. The completion of all administrative duties and arrangement of third party companies, including organisation and all necessary paperwork.

Conveyance and care of your loved one.

This is our focus for your loved one. We will convey them into our care within 15 miles of one of our funeral homes, in a specially equipped private ambulance. They will remain in our care until the day of the funeral service and you will be communicated with every step of the way. During their time with us, we will ensure the upmost dignity is provided in their preparation and dressing in their own clothes.

Transporting your loved one to the service

On the day of the funeral we will arrive at the service prior to your attendance place your loved one in the Crematorium’s chapel.  The Celebrant or Minister will lead you in to the chapel for the service.

    The coffin selection.

We will supply a simple elm effect coffin however you are welcome to choose from our full range if you wish, at an additional cost.  We will only discuss these options if they are requested.

    Likely Third Party Fees

We have included suitable third party costs for a shortened, morning service at either Worcester Crematorium or The Vale Crematorium.  This involves the completion and arrangement of associated cremation paperwork, (or for a burial service, a gravedigger/interment fee for a graveside service) together with a Celebrant or Minister to take the service.
