Nationwide Service
An attended, simple cremation funeral.
Nationwide service by a family owned, independent funeral director.
A modern funeral is a mixture between a direct cremation and a traditional funeral. It has the bare essentials needed for a cremation but you are able to attend the service as a normal funeral with someone to lead the service and additional options.
So how is this simplified from a traditional service?
Firstly the big difference is the use of a private ambulance to transport your loved one rather than a hearse. We would arrive at the crematorium before you and place your loved one in the chapel ready for the service. As well as reducing the cost element of a hearse this new option reduces the formality of a traditional funeral.
The service can still be lead by a religious minister or funeral celebrant and we are on hand to help arrange floral tributes and orders of service.

-
Funeral directors fee £1095
Our professional fees include all advice and guidance throughout the funeral process including the registration procedure and the necessary cremation forms.
-
If the death occurs in a hospital £100
As most hospitals have onsite mortuary facilities we are able to organise the completion of doctor's cremation certificates prior to us bringing your loved one into our care.
-
If the death occurs away from a hospital £250
If your loved one passes away at home, in a care setting or a hospice then we must keep them close to the doctor that last attended them. This may require us to employ the services of another funeral director for the initial care.
-
The coffin £275
As this type of funeral would still give you a normal style service at the crematorium we offer an oak effect or elm effect coffin. There are many more coffins in our range which can be discussed with you.
-
The crematorium fee from £850
Each crematorium charges different fees and currently have different attendance limits. We will be able to give you an exact cost once instructed which crematorium you wish to use.
-
Doctor's cremation certificate £82
It is a requirement for a cremation that a doctor completes a cremation certificate. Prior to the coronavirus outbreak it was a requirement for two doctors to complete the forms. We are unaware if this will revert back after the epidemic finishes.
-
Minister or Civil celebrant £200
If you require a service to be lead by a Minister or Civil Celebrant.
Potential additional cost
For coffins larger than 6’2″ x 20″ there would be an additional £250 charge.
This is due to a bespoke, strengthened coffin being required and additional staffing needs.
