‘Worcestershire Funeral Director of the Year’
Funeral pre-payment plans
Pre-paid funeral plans have become a very popular method of making sure your wishes are carried out whilst minimising the financial burden of a funeral at a time when your family will be grieving. A lot of plan providers link with certain funeral directors which may not allow your family to use the funeral director you wished for. By paying for your funeral plan direct with the funeral director, you skip the middle man (often save money by not paying the salemen’s commission) and get exactly what you want.
Jackson Family Funeral Directors have formed a partnership with Safe Hands Funeral Plans, one of the UK’s largest funeral plan provider. They allow us to offer you packages in line with our own as well as creating a fully bespoke funeral plan.
To discuss the many different options available to you please telephone us, come in to see us or arrange for us to meet you at your own home.
Compare Funeral Plans
The table below provides an at-a-glance summary of the different plan options and what each includes. Though they all cover cremation in their standard form, each (with the exception of the Direct Cremation plan) can also be tailored for burial.
Our range is divided into 2 parts – ‘Basic’ plans and ‘Inclusive’ plans.
Basic Plans: Designed for those whose budget is, perhaps, limited, but who wish to still make some provision to reduce the financial and emotional burden that their funeral might place on those left behind. The Direct Cremation plan, which is fixed price, covers just the collection, storage, and cremation of the deceased. The Topaz plan covers the funeral director’s services, but contains no allowance towards disbursements/3rd party fees*.
Inclusive Plans: Designed for those wanting to secure the greatest possible protection against funeral expenses, our inclusive plans not only guarantee the funeral director’s services, but they also include an allowance towards disbursements/3rd party fees*.
Burial Costs: The funeral director’s costs and services remain exactly the same for both cremation and burial. However, because interment (burial) costs vary enormously according to different local authorities pricing, only when we know where you wish to be buried can we give you a fixed price.
*Disbursements (otherwise known as 3rd party fees) are cost elements of a funeral that are outside of the funeral plan provider’s/funeral director’s control. All the ‘inclusive’ Safe Hands Funeral Plans include an allowance of £1,200 (Pearl/Sapphire/Ruby) towards the cremation fee (or interment fee, if the funeral is a burial), doctor’s fee, and minister’s fee for the service at the crematorium (or graveside, if the funeral is a burial).
**Additional mileage, if applicable, will be charged for at the funeral director’s prevailing rate at the time of death.
